ADHD Relationship & Breakup Coaching

Break the patterns. For adults whose ADHD keeps showing up in how they love, fight, and connect, whether you’re rebuilding a relationship, recovering from one, or determined not to repeat the last one.

Is This You?

✓  The same argument keeps happening: different partner, same script. You’re starting to see the pattern is coming with you.

✓  Emotional flooding hits fast: a small comment becomes a big reaction, and the repair costs more every time.

✓  Rejection sensitivity makes feedback feel like abandonment, so you defend, withdraw, or people-please instead of connecting.

✓  You’re navigating a separation or its aftermath, and untangling what was the relationship and what was undiagnosed ADHD.

✓  You love hard and mean well, but the follow-through gaps (forgotten commitments, distracted presence) keep hurting people you care about.

What You’ll Achieve

Regulation Before Rupture

Somatic tools to catch emotional flooding early, so you respond instead of react and repair faster when it happens.

See Your Patterns Clearly

Understand how ADHD interacts with your attachment style (the pursuit, the withdrawal, the intensity) without shame.

Connection That Lands

Presence and follow-through practices that let the people you love actually feel loved, consistently.

Break the Repeat Cycle

Whether rebuilding or starting over, stop importing the old dynamic into the new chapter.

Rebuild After the Breakup

Post-separation recovery that turns pain into pattern-awareness, so the next relationship starts from a different place.

Practical Load-Sharing

The unsexy stuff that sinks relationships (chores, admin, remembering things), redesigned so it stops being a recurring fight.

What ADHD Relationship Coaching Looks Like

Before the map, one thing matters: this is your engagement, not a curriculum. Sessions follow your agenda and we go where the work needs to go. That said, most engagements settle into a rhythm that looks something like this.

1. Discovery call (30 min, free): What’s going on, what you want to change, and whether we’re the right fit. No pressure, no pitch.

2. Foundations (sessions 1-2): Map your neurology, context, and goals. You’ll understand your own operating system better than you ever have.

3. Nervous system & way of being: Ontological and somatic work: regulation, emotional agility, presence.

4. Systems that fit: Structures built around your actual wiring, not willpower.

5. Integration: Embed it into daily life, handle setbacks, and finish with a system that’s yours.

Common Questions

Do you work with couples or individuals?
Primarily individuals. The deepest pattern change happens there. Partner sessions can be woven in where useful.

I’m mid-breakup and a mess. Is it too soon?
No. Post-separation is often the most powerful time for this work. The patterns are visible and the motivation is real. We pace it to where you are.

Is this couples therapy?
No. Coaching focuses on your ADHD patterns in relationships: practical, forward-looking, and complementary to therapy if you’re in it. If couples counselling is what you actually need, Relationships Australia is a good place to start, and the two can run side by side.

This is personal. How private is it?
Completely confidential, via Zoom. This work took me through my own marriage breakdown and rebuild. I hold it with the care it deserves.
